Dynasty Next Gen

Dynasty Next Gen is a programme in Volleyball NZ's performance space, providing a high-quality programme to engage a significant number of athletes and coaches into enjoyable and positive volleyball experiences. Each Dynasty Next Gen camp will focus on developing the skills and mindsets needed to be successful long term in volleyball. If you love the game of volleyball, are looking to grow your game or have ambitions of representing New Zealand and achieving your volleyball goals, this programme is for you.

The programme is targeted for all aspiring youth volleyball players using three pillars

Fun – Engagement in volleyball through enjoyable and positive experiences

Connection – Connection to other players, coaches and to the national pathway

Growth – Both athletes and coaches committing to their development, maximising their future potential

 

Upcoming Camps

Next Gen Camps are being confirmed shortly due to coach scheduling conflict.  We estimate dates to be between 10 to 16 July and venue TBC.


Timing

Day 1 - 10am-4pm
Day 2 - 930 - 3pm 

Please note: Athletes will be able to attend other regions camps if they wish – although similar content will be covered if attending during the same phase.

Age Criteria

To be eligible for Next Gen Camps, athletes will need to be born in 2007 and 2008. These ages will remain in place until July 2024 where they will transition into the National Junior Programme. 

What is included in the Next Gen Programme?

Volleyball Development to help take your game to the next level. Camps will be led by Game Development Manager Johann Timmer with support from top regional coaches

Connection with top coaches and representative players from around the country

Introduction into the national performance space using concepts and systems that will help develop your game to perform for NZ in the future

Physical preparation including Strength and Conditioning and Nutrition

An introduction to the mental skills side of performance

A chance to interact and play against your volleyball peers from around NZ

Athletes will be responsible for their own accomodation, food, and transport

Registration

Athletes will be self-registered and will have the choice of attending any camp they wish. It is advised that athletes attend all camps wherever possible to maximize their development, as well as their connection to the programme, the coaches and their peers. Athletes will also have the ability to attend other regions camp if they wish, although there will be similar content delivered within each phase. 

Camp fee - $180 which includes a volleyball NZ training tee or shorts (depending on stock)

Please note: We understand the uncertainty around the Covid 19 situation, if the programme was unable to go ahead, a full refund or credit will be provided

Are you, your sibling, or your parents a Volleyball NZ Member?

If no, Click below on "New Membership" then follow on from Step 4.

If yes follow these steps (Note, U18 athletes must be registered by a caregiver):

Step 1:
Click below on the "Existing Member Login" (this is also the option for those who have a sibling in the Volleyball NZ membership).

Step 2:
Once your parent has logged into friendly manager, click on menu, then "add/renew membership"

Step 3:
Make sure the child you are registering for has the tick box ticked. Or if your parent is adding a new child tick the new member box.

Step 4:
Complete a "School Student - $15" membership for 2021 (some of you may have done this). It is compulsory to do this before selecting the camp.

Step 5:
Once again, click on menu, then "add/renew membership" then click on the applicable Dynasty Next Gen Camp. Please ensure the correct location is chosen for registration 

Step 6:
Ensure that all of your details are complete (They will autofill from your previous membership).
IMPORTANT: ensure that the medical notes are accurate AND include any dietary requirements and allergies!

Step 7:
When paying the invoice please ensure you use the invoice number! (In the format of FM-xxxx)
